Sven Goran Eriksson

This man is one of the most respectful football managers in the world today.
He has coached both national teams and club teams and has an remarkable carrier behind him.

Sven was born in 1948 in Sweden. He grew up in a little town called Sunne in Varmland.
He started of his training carer as an assistant manager in a Swedish team called Degerors.
Soon he was the head coach of the team and did a wonderful work.

The at the time big team IFK Gothenburg later drafted Sven to become their Football Manager the rest is history.

The team won the UEFA cup in 1982 that made them the first and only Swedish team thru history to win the tournament. In Sweden the team was number one and soon Sven got offers from international Clubs. Sven later on moved to Portugal to become Benficas Football manager. After a few years in Portugal Sven moved to Italy. Their he managed teams like Sampdoria, Roma , Fiorentina and Lazio. Svennis won the scudetto with Lazio 2001 witch made him an historical man there.

After the historical win with Lazio he took over the English national team in 2001. He took the team to three straight championships but decided to quit after a big scandal with the press. So after England’s defeat against Portugal in the quarterfinal of the World Cup 2006 Sven Goran Eriksson decided to resign.
Today he is managing the premiership team Manchester City.

Sir Alex Ferguson

This man has won it all. When it comes to club football nobody beats this man. The Scottish screaming Football manager is probably the biggest Football manager in the world.

Alex Ferguson was born in Scotland 1941. He was an pretty successful footballer and he played in teams like Glasgow Rangers and Ayr United. But he didn’t realy get the break he needed to become a big soccer player. In 1974 he took over as a manager in the team East Stirlingshire. That was his first job as an football manager and he was only 32 years old. Some years later he was drafted to another team called ST. mirren. He managed the club for four years before he decided to join the Scottish team Aberdeen united in 1978. He made an success with the club. Aberdeen won the Scottish league and qualified for the European cup.

1986 after seven years in Aberden and one year as a Scottish manager Alex becomes the football manager of Manchester united.
The rest is a long fairytale with its ups and downs. The best year with Manchester united must have been when they won the Treble season 1998/99. They won the, FA cup, The premiership and the Champions League players like David Beckham and Ryan gigs was a big part of that years success. In 2001 rumors where out that sir Alex was going to retire but that never happened and sir Alex is still today 21 years later The football manager of Manchester United.

Roberto Mancini

He has won the Italian league ten times four as a trainer and six times as a player. Nobody else has won the title so many times.

Mancini was born 1964 in Italy. About sixteen years later he made his debut in Serie A.
Only 16years old he played his first match with the team BolognaFC in Serie A.
He was a great talent and made ten goals in his first season in the highest division in Italy.
After his debut season he went to Sampdoria. here he kept on scoring goals and Sampdoria won the Scudetto 1991 and copa Italia four times. Manchini was one of the best strikers in Italia at the time. Later on he got drafted to Lazio buy the Swedish coach Sven Goran Eriksson. Together they had some great years in Lazio with many big titles won.
He finished his carer as a player 2001 after one okay year in the British team Leicester.

2001 Mancini went back to Lazio but this time as an assistant manager to Sven Goran Eriksson. After e few months he went to Fiorentina there he led the team to victory in the Copa Italia. After that quick session he returned to Lazio and trains the team for two seasons. That results in another victory in the Copa Italia but this time with Lazio.
2004 he joins Inter were he wins Copa Italia for the third time as a trainer.
He makes success with Inter the following years he wins the league both 2005/2006 and 2006/2007. The team also beat the record of most wins in a row with seventeen wins in a row 2007.

Mancini and his Inter has won many great titles the last few years, the only big one left to win is the champions league.

Rafael Benítez

Mad a miracle with Liverpool buy winning the champions league. This football manager is known for his extremely high developed tactical skills.

Rafael Benitiez was born 1960, Madrid Spain. Rafael’s playing career wasn’t so successful as some of the other coaches but he made it too Real Madrid’s junior team as young.
He didn’t get so much farer but as a coach he is one of the best.

Rafael’s training carer started of pretty bad. He was first appointed manager for the Spanish team Real Valladolid 1995 but after a bad season he was fired. After this he became head manager in the second division but after ten games and one win he was kicked from that job to. Rafael kept in going and 1997 he took over as manager in another second division team CF Extremadura. This time it went better for the Spanish coach and the team played its self up to a second plays in the division. After loosing the play off to the first division Rafael decided to quit coaching for a while.

Rafael went to study in England and Italy and started as a football commentary on different channels one of them was Euro sport.

The year 200 he made his comeback in the manager world buy taking over a second division team called CD Tenerife. He managed to lead the team to the first division La Liga.
This was a kind of success and many clubs started to get interested in Rafael’s skills as a manager. 2001 he was appointed head manager at the big Spanish club Valencia Fc.
Rafael made success with Valencia. He brought a new more attacking play to the club and the fans loved him. 2002 he lead Valencia to their first ever La Liga win.
The following year the expectations were high on the team but they didn’t succeed to stand up to these expectations. Many people wanted Rafael to leave but he stayed and that was a good choice for the club. 2004 Valencia won both the UEFA cup and La Liga.
This made Rafael very popular in Valencia but a argument with the clubs president later that year resulted in his resign.

The same year 2004 he became head manager in Liverpool. The rest is a fairytale. The year after that Liverpool won the Champions League and the year after that the FA cup.
Rafael also managed to take Liverpool to the champion’s league finals in 2007 but they lost the final game to Milan. Rafael is still manager in Liverpool and the only thing left to win with the club is the premiership.

Luiz Felipe Scolari

Was borne 1948 in a small city in Brazil many say that he is one of the best Football managers in the world.

He started his career coaching Brazilian club teams but has later on starting to coach International teams. 2001 he was offered to manage The Brazilian national team. That is one of the biggest jobs in the world of football. Scolari took the job and lead Brazil a world cup victory in 2002. He resigned from the Brazilian team after the world cup victory 2002.
His next mission was the European national team Portugal. 2004 Portugal hosted the European championship and scolari was the man who was going to make Portugal win the tournament. Portugal started of well and went all the way to the finals where they lost against Greece. Scolary became the first foreign coach to lead A team that far in an event like the European championship.

Scolari took Portugal to the world cup in Germany 2006. Portugal played really well and advanced all the way to the quarterfinals’. In the quarterfinals Portugal played against England.Avery special match for Scolari because he was meant too manage the English team after the world cup but he later turned down the offer, because of all the pressure that job brought. Portugal won the match and England was terminated from the tournament.
Portugal loosed the semifinals against Italy after a really hard and tight game.
After this scolari signed a new two years contract with Portugal and will manage the team

Luciano Spalletti

Luciano has made success with his attacking and fast way of football. He is a pioneer in the world of football and is just at the start of a great carrier.

He was born in Italy 1959 and played football as a young kid.
He didn’t make it so far as a player but made it to the Italian Serie c. Spaletti later started to coach. He managed different youth teams in Italy and did it with a great success.
After a few years managing youth teams he got his first big team manager job at Empoli 1995. He was manly appointed that job because of the good work he had done with the youth team. He also did a good work with this team he brought the club to Serie A in 1998.
After this success he moved on to have some pretty bad years at both Sampdoria(1998-199)
and Venezia(199-2000).

Spaletti was asked to become Romas new manager and spaletti accepted the offer.
So in 2005 Spaletti was the Fotball manager in AC Roma. He changed their tactics to a more offensive one and that was the change Roma needed. Roma started to win and they broke the record of consecutive wins buy winning eleven matches. Spaletti was loved both buy the fans and the players. Roma went from a middle team to a top team in no time and much of this was because of Spaletti.

Spaletti still coach Roma and he is doing it well. The big victories haven’t really come yet but they are near and we will probably see Roma win titles very soon.

Jose is a young successful football manager witch has a long carrier both behind and in front of him.

Jose was born 1963 in Portugal. He started his career in the football industry as an goalkeeper. He lather on became football manager in the portugis club Sl Benfica year 2000.Two years later Jose becomes manager in the club FC Porto. When Jose came to the club it was a average team in the Portuguese series but that was about to change. At the first year at Porto Mourinho took the team to a well done third place in the league. The season after that Porto won almost every thing, they won the league, the portugian cup and the UEFAcup. Jose was named as the best coach in the world and became the sixth Portuguese coach to win three championships in one season. Porto also took the record of most earned points during one season. After this Jose lead Porto to one more league title and maybe the biggest victory of all the victories came in the Champions League 2004.

After this Jose was ranked as one of the best football managers in the world many teams wanted him to join there clubs. 2004 Jose became Chelsea’s football manager. Jose lead the team to two premiership victories and one FA cup victory. They also won the English cup two times. This was the best results in Chelsea’s history and Jose was loved by both the fans and the players. But Chelsea never won the champions league witch many thinks was the reason he left the club in September 2007.

Now Jose Mourinho is unemployed but rumours say he is going to take over the English National team.

Any way Jose Mourinho is one of the best football managers of all time.

Gus hiddink

Gus Hiddink is one of many skilled Football managers from the Netherlands.
He was born in the Netherlands 1946 and started his carer in football as a player in the Netherland club DeGraafschap 1967. He had a pretty good carer and played for two years in the big club PSV Eindhoven. He retired from his playing carer in 1982. Now he aimed at a carer as a Football manager. His first manager job was at the first team he also started playing at DeGraafschap. He managed the club for 2 years and later moved on to managed PSV Eindhoven.

He started of as an assistant manager but 1987 he took over as an head coach.
He lead the club to their first ever European cup triumph in 1988. After some god years in the club he moved on to manage Fenrbache 190-1991 and Valencia 1991-1994.

In 1995 he became the manager for the Dutch national team. He had both god and bad turns with the team the best result was a semi final in the 1998 world cup. He resigned from the team after the world cup 1998. After that he managed both real Madrid 1998-1999 and Real Betis 199-2000. After some bad years he was offered the job as manager for the south Korean team. He took the job and the following years are nothing but success. He took the team to the semi finals in the world cup 2002. The team lost the third price match against turkey but South Koreas fourth place in the world cup was one of the biggest successes in the world cup history. Hid dink was a god in South Korea but decided to leave the job 2002.

He went back to coach PSV Eindhoven 2002. He had some successful years with the club and had some god games both in the Champions League and European cup. 2005 he left the position for a manager job in the Australian national team. He took Australia to the world cup. Well there the success was near but Australia lost against Italy in the second round.

Now Gus Hiddink is coaching the Russian National team.

Frank Rijkaard

He was a member of the legendary trio, Marco van basten and Ruud Gullit witch led Milan to many of victories in the late 80is and early 90is. Today he is a successful football manager in one of the greatest teams in the world FC Barcelona.

He was born in the Netherlands in 1962. As he grew up he was a talent football player.
He later on became a great football player ho won the European champion ship 1988.
This makes him an historical player in the Netherlands. He ended his playing carer at Milan 1993 after five years in the club. And went back to play in Holland at Ajax FC. 1995 he decided to retire from football and so he did.

But he would be back but this time as a Football Manager. He took over the Netherlands’ national team and took them to the semi-finals in the European championship 2000.
In 2003 he became Football manager at the famous Spanish club FC Barcelona. After that the club has won the champions league in 2006 and the league two times both in 2005 and 2006.
Frank Rijkaard have created a team who plays maybe the most beautiful football in the world.
He is still manager in Barcelona and manage players like Ronaldinho, Lionel Messi, Samuel Eto and Deco. The team is famous for their technique and their flying attacking football.

Fabio Capello

The hard going Italian coach is one of the most spectacular football managers in the world today. He has been in the game for a long time and coached big teams from all over the world.

Fabio started of his carer as a football player. He started in the little Italian club Spal. He played her for some years but later decided to move to the big Italian club Roma 1967.
Fabio was a defensive midfielder witch had a fantastic eye for the game. He won his first trophy with Roma when they won the Italian Cup. After this he moved to Juventus he had six successful years with the club and he also was a member of the Italian national team fore some of those years. 1970 Capello moves to Milan. The head coach at Milan is at the time Nils Liedholm. Capello has later sad that Liedholm had a great impact of his way on fotboll
Liedholm was a great teacher and thought Capello many things when it comes to the game. Capello retired from his playing carrier 1980.

After that he figured as a an assistant coach at Milan for some years. He became the head football manager in the club 1990. The rest is history Capellos team was called the invisible.
In five season he lead the team to four league titles. Players like Marco Van Basten and Paolo Maldini helped him on the way. After a disappointing season in 1995 Capello resigned from his job at Milan.

He later moved on to Real Madrid but he only stayed in the club for one season to later go back to Ac Milan again. This time his session in Milan wasn’t so good, and he later resigned from the club again.

1999 Fabio Capello became the head coach in Roma. They won the scudetto 2001 witch was Romas first big win in a decade. He had some god years on the field with th team but he was in many of arguments with fans and players. He later moved on to manage Juventus. They won the scudetto two years in a row but were later stripped from the wins because of scandals involving fixed matches and so on. So Capello left the club to join Real Madrid in 2006.

Fabio Capello led the club to victory in the Spanish league at his first year at the club. David Beckham also played at the club at the time. Capello was fired son after the win because he and the club president hadn’t the same view on how to play soccer. The club president wanted Real to play beautiful soccer and thought capello stand for a more boring strategy.

Now Capello is unemployed but something tells me that he won’t be it for long
